Real estate developers and agencies often lack a centralized digital workspace to register their business, manage sales teams, upload property brochures, and publish rich media listings. Traditional static image listings fail to convey true architectural spatial layout; buyers demand interactive, 360-degree virtual walkthroughs before scheduling site visits. Marketplace owners also require strict oversight to vet and approve real estate companies before public listing deployment, while maintaining localized geographic taxonomies (Country -> State -> City).
Business Challenge & Strategic Solution
Providing client-side 360° panoramic virtual tours without expensive third-party embedding services, enforcing multi-tenant agency data isolation across three separate Next.js portals, and managing cascading location taxonomies with soft deletion audit compliance.
Implemented client-side 360° panoramic rendering using WebGL 360° virtual tour engine directly inside property detail views without external frame dependencies.
Structured single-API multi-portal architecture where agencies manage properties scoped strictly by company_id following super-admin verification.
Built real-time dependent Country -> State -> City dropdown loading powered by MongoDB aggregation pipelines.
Custom base64 buffer parser supporting extensive MIME validation (JPEG, PNG, WEBP, SVG, MP4, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) streamed directly to S3.
We architected a unified Node.js / Express REST API serving three distinct Next.js frontends (Public User Portal, Agency Owner Portal, Super Admin Control Panel). We integrated WebGL 360° virtual tour engine for WebGL 360° photo sphere rendering, built an AWS S3 base64 multi-format buffer uploader (JPEG, PNG, WEBP, MP4, PDF, DOCX), implemented role-based JWT authentication, and structured MongoDB aggregations for location hierarchies.
